Like many people you may have found your way to The Boda Cleanse website or Amazon Kindle book, through an interest in Intermittent Fasting, or possibly via researching the 5:2 – The Fast Diet which has greatly popularised intermittent fasting.
Whilst The Boda Cleanse shares with The Fast Diet Intermittent Fasting as it’s central diet principle, the two programs are in fact very different.
The Boda Cleanse Vs The Fast Diet Review
How Does The Boda Cleanse Work?
As the title of my ebook indicates, The Boda Cleanse – The 4-Step Intermittent Fasting Program to Detox, Burn Fat and Restore Vitality I use Intermittent Fasting to burn off fat (where most of our toxins are stored) and in process restore metabolic efficiency.
The program is conducted over 2 Phases, starting with a 5 Day, supplement supported Smoothie and Juice Cleanse, which then transitions to a 14 Day Intermittent Fast where the program’s superfood supplements continue to be taken, with lunch being the main meal of the day, followed by a soup at dinner.
Phase I is very much about promoting the body into “detox mode” and begins to reset the hormonal system to habitually burn fat instead of sugar for fueling metabolism.
Phase II, the Intermittent Fast, has you consuming most of your daily calories between lunch and dinner ( 8 hour window), leaving the remaining 16 hours for your body to effectively digest and process your food. Usually digestion is completed within 6-8 hours, thereafter in the “fasted state” is where the magic happens; the body is able to re-set itself hormonally, heal and regenerate.
At the end of 19 Days you will have not only thoroughly cleansed your body, but reset your metabolism. You should notice notably improved energy levels, digestion, bowel and immune function and a clearer, more positive mental state.
Most importantly though The Boda Cleanse’s main purpose is to take you through a process that by the end of it you’ve ingrained these positive changes into your new lifestyle. Intermittent Fasting whereby you consume two nutrient dense meals a day (within an 8 hour window) is in fact an ideal way to eat. The Boda Cleanse aims to set you on a path to making that achieveable in a sustainable way.
Australian 5:2 Fast Diet
The 5:2 Fast Diet is also a wonderful Intermittent Fasting program which suits many people. Basically you eat whatever you like for 5 Days and then for 2 days of the week you reduce your caloric intake to 500 calories for women and 600 calories for men.
Whilst the 5:2 Fast Diet works wonderfully well for many people, the question is does Intermittent Fasting for 2 days a week set in place physical, metabolic changes that are sustainable long-term?
Certainly though I can see why the 5:2 Fast Diet is perfectly suited for so many people, after all it allows people to not have to change very much. If however you’re looking to fundamentally change the way you eat and develop your metabolism in a way that allows you to happily eat less, day to day, then please take a closer look at The Boda Cleanse.
